From Rookie to Head of Delivery – Success in Seattle

How long have you been at Skills Alliance?
What do you do?
I head the Delivery side of the business in the US, focusing mainly on our retained and MSP accounts.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
It’s always a great feeling to help small (but very important) life sciences companies build and grow their teams, helping along in their mission to help those that need it most
Tell us about your journey to becoming Head of Delivery?
It’s been a great journey over the last four years! I started out as an entry-level, individual contributor. I put in a lot of time and a lot of effort to grow my skillset and learn as much as I could.
With the help of our Senior Leadership, I was able to take on more responsibility, including taking on a small team of my own and eventually running the delivery side of the business.
It’s had a lot of ups and downs, but all of the work has been worth it!
What advice would you give to a new recruitment consultant?
Persistence and Resistance are key! Learning in this role is never linear, it takes a lot of twists and turns. As long as you keep at it, and take the time to learn as much as you can, and work as hard as you can – you will find success!
What is next for Sarah?
Getting involved with Learning & Development! Getting the chance to help my coworkers learn and grow in their career is something I’m really passionate about!
