CEO Named in SIA 2026 Staffing 100 Europe
Skills Alliance CEO, Carl Marotta, recognised for AI-led leadership in life sciences recruitment
Skills Alliance is delighted to announce that our CEO, Carl Marotta, has been named to Staffing Industry Analysts’ 2026 Staffing 100 Europe list.
Now in its 13th year, the list recognises 100 influential leaders across Europe’s staffing and workforce solutions sector, an industry SIA estimates is worth €221 billion. Honourees include chief executives, technology specialists, legal representatives and operations experts whose leadership continues to shape the industry.
Carl’s recognition reflects a year of technology-led transformation at Skills Alliance. Under his leadership, AI and proprietary technology have moved from a support function to the centre of the company’s commercial strategy, a shift that has changed how we compete in highly specialised life sciences and STEM markets, some of which hold fewer than 500 qualified candidates worldwide.
Investment in AI-powered sourcing and predictive talent intelligence now allows consultants to map entire talent markets in minutes rather than days, cutting client response times accordingly. For clients running time-critical programmes, from clinical trials to product launches, that speed can be the difference between hitting a milestone and missing one. Carl has also driven the development of proprietary talent datasets, reducing the business’s reliance on third-party platforms and contributing to a measurable 5% increase in net fee income capacity.
The impact reaches inside the business too. AI tools built to remove manual, repetitive work have returned up to 18 hours per recruiter each week, time that consultants now spend on higher-value client engagement. Carl has backed this shift with structured training and onboarding, helping teams move confidently from transactional recruitment towards strategic talent advisory work.
Carl’s influence extends beyond Skills Alliance. He sits on Palatine Private Equity’s Data and AI Board, where he shares lessons from our AI transformation with leaders across Palatine’s wider portfolio. He is also a visible advocate for Skills Alliance’s partnership with Trekstock, a charity supporting young adults living with cancer, helping to embed a culture of social responsibility across the business.
Congratulations, Carl, on this well-deserved recognition.
