Skills Alliance is delighted to announce an exclusive partnership with Intercept Pharmaceuticals to assist in the recruitment of their EU Medical Affairs operations ahead of their first product launch in 2016.

Intercept Pharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development and commercialisation of novel therapeutics to treat orphan and chronic liver diseases. The company’s lead product candidate, obeticholic acid (OCA) is currently in late phase development for patients suffering from primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC), nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC).

Following the awards of “Fast Track Designation” for PBC and “Breakthrough Therapy Designation” for NASH, Intercept Pharmaceuticals is seeking to hire inspirational leaders who can advance the company’s mission of bringing these innovative medicines to market in 2016.

Intercept Pharmaceuticals is actively recruiting for four Regional Medical Directors who will have direct leadership responsibilities for the development and evolution of Medical Affairs plans across the region, for products in both late stage clinical development and post-launch phase. Considerable expertise in hepatology or gastroenterology will be critical to help build the organisation quickly and efficiently. Reporting to the VP, Head of Medical Affairs, EU, these roles have direct line management responsibility of the Country Medical Director(s).

Intercept Pharmaceuticals is actively recruiting for six Country Medical Directors who will have direct leadership responsibility for Medical Affairs activities and line management of the MSL teams. Medical Affairs expertise and connections in hepatology or gastroenterology will be required to quickly establish the company as a highly credible partner in unmet Liver Disease to clinical stakeholders.
